• Oil-Free Design: The most significant feature of a dry-type transformer is the absence of an oil tank and insulating oil. Its insulation and cooling medium is air or an insulating gas. This design offers substantial advantages in fire prevention and explosion protection, making it particularly suitable for use in places with high fire protection requirements and dense populations, such as high-rise buildings, underground facilities, hospitals, and schools.
• Winding Structure: Typically, the windings are treated with epoxy resin casting or vacuum pressure impregnation processes, which endow the windings with high mechanical and electrical strength. This structure effectively prevents the windings from moisture absorption, deformation, and insulation aging, thereby enhancing the reliability and service life of the transformer.
   

  Performance Features

• Good Fire-Resistance: With no oil present, there is no risk of oil leakage or combustion, significantly reducing fire hazards and meeting the fire protection requirements of modern buildings and industrial sites for electrical equipment.
• Excellent Heat Dissipation: Dry-type transformers generally use natural air cooling (AN) or forced air cooling (AF) for heat dissipation. In natural cooling, heat is carried away by air convection; in forced air cooling, fans are used to force air flow, accelerating heat dissipation and ensuring the transformer can operate stably at rated load for a long time.
• High Insulation Performance: Advanced insulating materials and processes, such as glass fiber-reinforced epoxy resin, are employed, providing excellent electrical insulation. These materials can withstand high voltage levels and effectively prevent insulation breakdown.
• Strong Short-Circuit Withstanding Capability: The compact winding structure and high mechanical strength enable the transformer to withstand significant short-circuit currents without deformation or damage during short-circuit impacts, enhancing its short-circuit resistance and reducing equipment damage and power outages caused by short-circuit faults.
